Originally a private mansion built in 1889, the Lancaster was turned into a luxury hotel in 1925 by Swiss hotelier Emile Wolf. With the daughter of a Parisian antique dealer as his housekeeper, he adorned the establishment with 17th-century works of art and furniture. Today, these formidable items continue to give life to the Lancaster, which has been creating unforgettable stays for its guests ever since.
